We got married at Barberstown Castle in early 2019. What can we say - the wedding team are SUPERB! They are so experienced and nothing felt like a silly question. We were organising the wedding from London so having people we could rely on made all the difference - particularly Sara, who we have made a real friend in, but also Denise and Susanne were just fabulous. The whole weekend was perfect from the welcome drinks in the garden bar, to the dinner in the castle keep on Friday night, the wedding reception on Saturday and the afters in the Haggard on Sunday. Everything is there in the one location that you could possibly need to make a real weekend of it and the venue is just charming with so much history. The catering team served the most delicious food and clearly take such pride in their work, as all our guests can testify to. We have been back to stay and been welcomed with open arms since - we couldn’t have asked for a more special, welcoming place to get married and would highly recommend it to other couples. Barberstown Castle were simple fantastic and we could not recommend the venue highly enough for a wedding. We got married on the October Bank Holiday of last year and it is a day that we will never forget. Due to unforeseen events we had to organise the wedding in six months and Sara and the rest of the Barberstown Castle team were incredibly helpful, accommodating and more importantly warm, personable and compassionate towards us. The venue is simply fantastic and our guests still talk about how intimate and romantic the space is with the big log fires, the timber rafters, the hanging hops and the fairy lights. We decided to have our marriage ceremony in Barberstown Castle which was also a big plus for us. The venue is a photographers dream with the large trees, the castle inside and out, the fires and the dogs of course. The food was amazing and there are options to suit all palates. The chocolate brownie is a must. Without a doubt the biggest selling point for us on Barberstown Castle were the staff. Our wedding planner was Sara and she made the day so easy and enjoyable. She gave us fantastic advice on how to make the day special and put our minds at ease during what can be a stressful period. On the day all of the staff were fantastic something that many of our guests remarked on. Simply a wonderful venue.
