Barberstown Castle, Ireland
We got married at Barberstown Castle in early 2019. What can we say - the wedding team are SUPERB! They are so experienced and nothing felt like a silly question. We were organising the wedding from London so having people we could rely on made all the difference - particularly Sara, who we have made a real friend in, but also Denise and Susanne were just fabulous. The whole weekend was perfect from the welcome drinks in the garden bar, to the dinner in the castle keep on Friday night, the wedding reception on Saturday and the afters in the Haggard on Sunday. Everything is there in the one location that you could possibly need to make a real weekend of it and the venue is just charming with so much history. The catering team served the most delicious food and clearly take such pride in their work, as all our guests can testify to. We have been back to stay and been welcomed with open arms since - we couldn’t have asked for a more special, welcoming place to get married and would highly recommend it to other couples. Thank you, Barberstown!
Fernhill House Hotel, Ireland
I was delighted to celebrate my marriage at Fernhill House Hotel and Gardens. Ann made arranging a wedding from abroad stress-free and helped us have a beautiful, intimate ceremony in the gardens. The food is always incredible and I will be staying at Fernhill everytime I visit Ireland. It is by far the best hotel, beating out even 5 star hotels I have stayed at.
Manowce Palace, Poland
What we loved most was that for our intimate wedding with just ten guests we had the venue exclusively to ourselves. We had our ceremony and wedding reception in the palace, which we fell in love with on our visit. The staff went above and beyond in their service, not only on the day but also in the lead-up. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they made it completely stress-free. It was great that the Manowce team worked so well with the Polish wedding planner we had hired. The venue is outstanding, located right on the shore of a large bay. It is hard to imagine a more picturesque setting. Inside, all the rooms are filled with antique furniture and paintings, and the sofas and beds are very sumptuous and comfortable. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone who wanted something different. And now in the age of cheap airlines, Poland and Manowce are so close and inexpensive to get to!
Ghan House, Ireland
Exceptional, beautiful, intimate, personal, hospitable venue. We couldn't have asked for more. From our very first contact, we were made feel important. So personal and friendly. It's a beautiful hotel, exquisite food, excellent location and hosts are so accommodating and make you feel special. The intimacy and personalising shone through over a corporate commercial conveyor belt approach in large venues or franchised brands. It's a beautiful hotel, and feels like home from home setting for such a special family event. We hold Paul and the team in Ghan House very close to our hearts for making our special day the best it could be.
Eccles Hotel, Ireland
We got married here in June 2018 and we were so delighted we chose Eccles. It's got bags full of old world charm and it's in an amazing location in Glengarriff Bay with spectacular sea views from the ballroom. We were really grateful for the outdoor terrace as the weather was magnificent. However the best thing about Eccles was their people and the friendly atmosphere. Rose, Eccles wedding planner was just so pleasant and professional; she really took care of everything! David the manager was really helpful and you can sense his passion for the hotel. Eddie the chef was very accommodating (we changed the dessert choice a week before the big day!) and his food was devine. Yeats Suite (the bridal suite) was one of the nicest rooms we were ever in. All in all, it was amazing!
