The baroque castle Hertefeld, a historically important 14th century manor, is located in Weeze.

For more than 800 years the castle has been in the possession of the same family. After being partly rebuilt, Hertefeld is now the only place in Germany where it is possible to stay luxuriously overnight within the historic walls of a castle ruin.

In its eventful history the original castle has been rebuilt many times. In 1700 it was transformed into a moated baroque castle; then it continued to exist in various guises until April 1945, when it was destroyed in the confusions of the world war by German troops. In 1995 the castle ruins were secured in its original shape, the historic main tower and the middle wing of the castle were partly rebuilt in 2005.

In Hertefeld you can celebrate your big party happily and exuberantly without curfew until the morning. You and your guests are the exclusive focus, as there are no parallel events here.
